We’ve created comprehensive IKEA guarantees for many of our products and have gathered them all here. Because, while we believe in the quality and durability of our products, at IKEA we like to have your back.

Below you will find a list of all our guarantees and warranties.

General conditions for all guarantees


All IKEA products with guarantees are tested to ensure that they are in compliance with IKEA’s strictest quality and durability standards, as well as capable of meeting the day to day challenges of domestic use. Coverage details for each product guarantee can be found in the product’s detailed information.


Each product guarantee is marked with coverage duration. Our guarantees start on the day of purchase. If a product is resold or given away by the original owner, the guarantee becomes invalid. When making a claim, please visit the store where the product was originally purchased, and the customer will need to bring the original invoice and the stamped guarantee card for claim validation. Please keep the original invoice and the stamped guarantee card in case of guarantee claim.


IKEA will examine the product and decide if it is covered under the guarantee. If considered covered, IKEA will either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product.

If it is covered by the guarantee, IKEA will pay the costs of repairs and spare parts, provided that the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure (see remark 1).

If it is not covered by the guarantee, but you still want IKEA to repair the product, we will charge you the costs of repairs, spare parts and other incurred costs. Product guarantee does not apply to any repair work not authorised by IKEA. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA. If the product is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement. If the replacement is with higher value, IKEA will charge you the difference. Product guarantee service is only applicable within the borders of Taiwan. If the replacement is covered by the guarantee, the guarantee start day is on the original product purchase date. IKEA reserves the right to accept or deny the replacement claim and the right to decide appropriate replacement at its sole discretion.

All guarantee legal rights shall be governed by the laws of the R.O.C. and applicable rules and regulations.


• This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored, assembled or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned using the wrong cleaning methods or cleaning products.
• This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents.
• This guarantee does not apply if the product has been placed outdoors or in a humid environment.
• The guarantee does not apply to damage caused by dismantling, moving or repairing the product by yourself. • This guarantee does not apply to damage caused by natural disasters or accidents.
• This guarantee does not apply to products purchased in the showroom and special offer area (AS-IS).
• The quality assurance only covers the original purchaser, and the rights and interests are not transferable.
• IKEA reserves the right to amend this quality assurance terms and conditions.
• Those who cannot show proof of purchase, such as invoice.
• Other faults or damages attributable to the purchaser.

Non-IKEA Family card member:
Please take and save a photo of the invoice (including the certificate and details)

IKEA mattresses 10-year guarantee


Solutions of those who bought the mattress before 2022/1/1
If you purchase IKEA matteress with this gaurantee, over 10 years from the date of the sales invoice:
• IKEA Taiwan will offer a rebate amount, which is based on a fixed percentage of the purchase price of the mattress at the first purchase. No credit will be given to any service charges. The customer can only use the rebate amount to purchase another mattress from IKEA TW within the specified period. If the customer chooses a more expensive mattress, the customer shall pay the difference. If the customer chooses a cheaper mattress, the balance will be forfeited.
• The guarantee period of the replacement mattress shall be the balance of the 25 years from the date of the first purchase.
• The mattress under guarantee must be returned to IKEA TW at the time of exchange or refund.
• IKEA TW will arrange for free collection services for the old mattress whilst the Customer shall pay for the delivery services for the new mattress at the prevailing rate provided that the collection address is the same as the delivery address and the collection service is rendered at the same time as the delivery. IKEA TW shall impose such rates of charges and conditions of delivery as it deems fit from time to time.
• The rebate shall be calculated as follows:

Example: A customer purchased a mattress with this Guarantee at $5,000 on Aug 1, 2007. If a manufacturing defect is found in 2023 (i.e. 16 years later), $1,750 (i.e. $5,000 x 35%) will be rebated to the customer for purchasing a new mattress at IKEA TW.
