One source of inspiration is the traditional Japanese craft technique shibori. Together with natural materials like linen and cork, it gives a minimalist yet warm look. The interplay between the table-runner’s positive and negative shapes creates a dynamic table setting when combined with the modern and pared-down floral patterns on the place mats."
