Recommended for ages 3 – 6 years.

The zipper is child-safe since we took away the tab on the zip. To open and close, insert a paper clip through the loop. Make sure you always remove the paper clip afterwards.

Additional information

Wash the cover inside out with the zipper closed.

This 10 cm thick mattress has two different surfaces ‒ one egg-shaped side with medium-firm comfort and one smooth side which is firmer. The texture of the foam makes the mattress soft and well-ventilated, which provides good support and a comfortable sleeping environment for your child. The cover can be removed and machine washed at 60°C.

What is foam?

Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Depending on the properties and feel you’re looking for, there are several qualities to choose from, like high-resilience foam and memory foam. The raw material for foam was previously based entirely on virgin fossil materials. But today, together with our suppliers, we’ve begun developing a material that is renewable and recycled.

Environment

All IKEA mattresses, including sofa bed mattresses, are free from chemical flame retardants unless required by national legislation. We strive to use materials with fire resisting properties such as fibre barriers. We want to have a positive impact on the planet. That is why by 2030, we want all materials in our products to be recycled or renewable, and sourced in responsible ways. The cotton in this product is grown with less water, less chemical fertilizers and less chemical pesticides, while increasing profit margins for the farmers. That way, we lower our environmental impact.
