In a better position
Our height-adjustable desks will help your team alternate between sitting, standing or – for those who like a compromise - leaning in. Just make sure you’ve got the technique right. In all positions, your screen should be at eye level, tilted slightly back and about an arm’s length away. When standing, the arms should rest at a 90 to 120-degree angle, keyboard at elbow height. The half-standing position is great, too. Set your desk and stool in such a way that your elbows are resting on the table top. Keep your back straight, knees soft and feet flat. This also goes for when you’re sitting. Remember to relax your shoulders, while those elbows can be a bit more open. And for when you want to sit down: choose chairs with good lower back support. After a few practice rounds you’ll never feel like sitting down all day again. It’s a smart investment as well: less pain means fewer sick days and more energy in the office. Who can say no to that?
