We are constantly exploring different fields and making positive changes from within the company. For instance, we have launched BLÅVINGAD toys made from recycled ocean waste, introduced circular rental services, and implemented electric trucks for transportation. Our stores lead by example, utilizing the Blue Bag Fund to mobilize employees to support local communities. We are thrilled to collaborate with social enterprises to promote secondhand activities, and also with non-governmental organizations and customers for charitable events to alleviate energy poverty in Taiwan and Hong Kong, you can read more exciting examples below. Circular Economy and Becoming Climate Positive

Transforming Into a Circular Business

Our goal is to become a circular business by 2030. Thus, we are committed to designing our products based on circular product design principles and using renewable or recycled materials. At the same time, we develop a circular business model to provide our customers with innovative solutions that prolong the value and lifespan of our products.

For instance, we partnered with Taipower to set up a furniture rental service and significantly reduced our carbon footprint via a “rent-to-own” circular business model. We also joined forces with social enterprise Story Wear by combining fashion with circular product design principles to organize the “Circular IKEA” exhibition at IKEA Xindian Store. It allowed us to discover the hidden beauty of used goods and breathe new life into them by transforming them into unique art pieces.

Fair & Equal

Caring for People

We plan to uphold human rights in our entire supply chain and strive to build a more resilient society by 2030. In addition, we care for our employees’ psychological well-being and basic rights. Therefore, we offered an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to assist our employees with stress relief.

Climate change has worsened societal inequalities and has become a systemic risk in many regions around the world. Together with our employees, we seek to understand the needs of our communities and support their development by launching initiatives such as the Light Up Hope campaign and the Blue Bag Fund. Moreover, we work with social innovation organizations to promote sustainability. By supporting the growth of social enterprises, we can boost their influence and facilitate the exchange of knowledge. Lastly, we need to keep up with the times and work together to build a fair and equal society.
