Through “learning by doing”, children will follow IKEA co-workers step by step as they complete each mission:

Activity What will kids learn?
Morning pep talk Understand simple numbers, practise speaking up, and build confidence.
Welcoming customers & handing out shopping bags Learn to greet proactively, interact politely, and be brave in front of others.
Folding duvets in the bedroom area Develop tidiness, hand coordination, and a sense of responsibility for their own space.
Toy sorting & organising Understand “everything in its place” and build a sense of ownership and responsibility.
Store walk & inspection with the “Manager” Improve observation skills, attention to detail, and focus.
Checkout experience Learn about prices, order, and waiting in line; practise empathy and seeing things from the cashier’s point of view.
Christmas-only special mission 🎅 Santa will appear in person to give each Little Store Manager a special gift.

Parents can write a message in advance, which Santa will gently read out on their behalf — creating a warm moment your child will remember for years to come.

Important Notes:
  • All IKEA Family members are eligible to enter the lottery. Each member may register only once. Non-members who register and win will be disqualified without further notice.
  • Please provide accurate information during registration to ensure on-site verification by event staff.
  • Winners must attend the exact session they are selected for. Date changes are not allowed, but spots may be transferred to friends or family.
  • Winners will receive the registration form between 12/3–12/7. Failure to complete the form by 12/7 will be considered a forfeit.
  • Five backup candidates will be drawn for each session. If a winner does not complete their form by 12/7, backup candidates will be contacted in order.
  • Each child must be accompanied by at least one parent for the entire event. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time for check-in.
  • The “Secret Christmas Gift List” will be shown in the winner’s form between 12/3–12/7. Quantities are limited, and earlier submissions may choose first.
