This bench has been tested for home use and meets the requirements for durability and safety, set forth in the following standards: EN 12520 and EN 1022.

Watch your fingers and toes – those curved slats can pinch when the bench rocks.

The bench is tested and complies with relevant strength and durability standards. The tests simulate typical usage of the product by two persons, each weighing up to 110 kg.

“For IKEA PS 2026 bench, we made many prototypes before arriving at the perfect design. The big challenge? Making it entirely from pine while keeping the arch strong. The solution came when our engineers decided to slice the wood vertically, then glue it back together – simple, clever and it worked! I hope this bench lets people forget their worries for a moment, feel like kids again and just play. If you look closely… the bench is actually smiling.”

Care instructions

Wipe clean with a cloth dampened in a mild cleaner.
Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.
