Sometimes, we may send you a new notice to explain how we may use your personal data in specific situations, and will always give you the choice to opt out of such uses.

2. Who are we?

Our Website and App are operated by DFI Home Furnishings Taiwan Limited(“IKEA”, "we", "us"). IKEA is the data controller of any personal data. Personal data we collect about you will be used in line with this Privacy Policy.

3. How do we collect your data?

We or any other group companies, related corporations will collect the personal data provided by you. We also collect your data when you access our Website or use App. For instance, when you sign up for a User Account, or browse/shop online via our Website and our APP, or send an email to us, we will collect your personal data

If you are under the age of 18, please get parent/guardian consent before you access our Website, or use App, or sign up for a User Account.

5. What personal data do we collect?

You may need to provide some certain data as following to browse our Website or use App. We will inform you when it is needed, and you have an option to provide any other personal data or not.

(a) Your User Account
  • If you sign up for a User Account to browse our Website or use App, the personal data we collect from you may include your name, gender, ID number, address, email address and your mobile phone number. We will send you verification codes to your phone or your email address to verify your identity.
  • Your User Account status and activities.
  • Your shopping preferences, including your preferred brand, the items you may be interested in, and your preferred service type.

  • Your order history and payments on our Website and/or App.You need to provide us your delivery details (your name, address, mobile phone number, email address and other essential information) when you shop online via our Website and/or App. The order form will list your information including your photograph, name, phone numbers, address (or product assembly and installation address), the product/service you purchase, order number, payments etc. When you pay with your credit card, debit card or other payment method, the information will be protected and managed by financial institutions or third-party service providers In accordance with their own privacy policy. (d) When we offer additional services

To provide you personalized products and services and to improve shopping experience, we may offer you additional services. We may also ask for your consent to access your geolocation, camera/webcam, photo albums, microphone, and contacts of your device for additional personal data. The main function of our Website and/or App is still available If you do not provide the information above or revoke the authorization, however, we may not provide additional services to you. Please note that even if you decide to revoke the authorization, it will not affect the data we collected and used in accordance with your previous authorization.
  • Personalized recommendation services based on your location information. We collect your location information to recommend products or services near you. We only collect the information of your geolocation at a specific point in time, and we will not combine your location information we collected to build a track.   • Additional features for camera/webcam. You can use these features for videorecording, photography, scanning QR codes or other functions.

After you allow our Website and/or App to access the photo albums of your device, you can use these features to upload photos for changing profile pictures, communicating with a customer service representative and for authorization. We may use the photos you upload to identify the products or services you would like to purchase. We may also use the comments or other messages on the photos you upload.
  • Additional features for voice techniques. After you allow our Website and/or App to access your device's microphone, you may contact a customer service representative or communicate with a customer service bot. We will record your conversations in order to respond to your request or dispute resolution.

10. Can our partners or service providers send you marketing materials?

Our partners or service providers may occasionally send Marketing Communications on our behalf. However, we will not provide your personal data to our partners or service providers for them to send you marketing materials regarding their own products or services without your permission.

If any of our partners or service providers wish to send you any marketing materials regarding their own products and services directly, then they must obtain your separate consent for this. We do not involve with any marketing events which are not related to our Website or App. If you agree to receive any marketing materials from our partners or service providers, please carefully read their own privacy policies.

If your information is not complete, inaccurate or changed without timely notification, we have rights to temporarily stop our service and terminate your User Account.

(b) Opt-out of direct marketing

At any time, you can ask us to stop using your personal data to send you Marketing Communications, or you can customise how you would like to receive Marketing Communications from us. You can exercise your rights to do this by:
  • Sign in your User Account and changing your User Account
  • Follow the unsubscribe instructions in the Marketing Communications we send to you.

We will stop using your personal data to send you Marketing Communications in accordance with your request. However, we may still send you non-promotional communications such as information concerning the administration of your User Account, and may use non-personally identifiable information collected via cookies and other tracking technology to display marketing information via online advertising banners on websites and apps visited by you.

We are not involved or responsible for any marketing materials sent directly by our partners or Dairy Farm Group members that concern any reward programmes, or products or services offered or provided by them that are unrelated to the functions of the Site or App. If you would like to stop receiving any marketing materials from our partners or Dairy Farm Group members, then please contact them directly in order to unsubscribe from their mailing lists.
